browser crash

My browser has a tendency to crash at times. Cannot find a clear cause. Could possobly be due to memory - ram - problem or problem with network connection? The browser work upon restart when same page is automatically opened.
It usually doesnt close completely but rather is left sleeoing - i.e. the cover is still present.
