How to recover bookmarks

Since I can no longer add Browser app to my Settings main page as a shortcut, I decided to make an app that can clear history, cookies and open tabs. Well, I think something went wrong and now all my passwords and bookmarks are gone too. Is there any way to recover these or are they lost forever?
Edit: Okay, I spotted my mistake: clear_private_data most certainly deletes EVERYTHING. I removed that.
