Problem with connection message clogged up the phone

After coming home and taking the phone from pocket it informed "problem with connection". Icons showed that it tried to connect to mobile .

Only reboot helped to get rid of problem. Phone was not in WLAN according to WLAN router and phone was unable to open any programs so couldn't check IP for remote access and so on. Removing SIM only made the phone freeze.

Always when Phone informs "problem with connection" OS gets slow until it connects.

Suggestions. A timeout for reconnection and limit to times it tries reconnections?

I travel a lot underground or in the mountains where my phone is only connected with 3G/2G but with a bad network coverage and I get those banners all the time. The phone is then unusable for a too long time, for my main phone it is really a big problem. Any new from Jolla on that?

It is not a duplicate. It just happened to me nowhere near a Wifi hotspot, just using 3G. Phone keeps showing "Problem with connection" message, with makes the interface impossible to use. Right now I cannot even drag the lockscreen to unlock the phone.

The problem isn't wifi OR 3g. It's BOTH. It's the transition between one access point to another that floods the OS with 'Problem with connection' messages when the old connection drops out of signal reach. So, this is the same problem as the other question just it's more nuanced than the title.

An interesting thing is that when the phone is in this state, it's no longer possible to turn off GPRS data. If doing so, the small 'light' in the radio comes back on after 1-2 seconds. And if trying to enter the "Settings->System->Mobile Network" the device pops up a note saying "Settings is not responding" or something like that. After a while it goes away and it's now possible to enter the "Mobile network" menu. After entering, the light in the radio next to 'Internet' keeps toggling.

I hate this bug, and it houldn't be happening with an adult OS!

EDIT 4-4-2014: It was for me fixed in the last update. Thanks Jolla!
