Phone looses connection to SD card [not relevant]

Recently (I guess since updating to 2.0.0.10) I experience that the media player suddenly stops playing music from my microSD card. This happens because the phone looses connection to the SD card and can't continue to read the files. The phone fails to remount the sd card, but after a reboot it's fine again - until the next connection loss happens.
I'm not sure whether this is a hardware or a software issue. Did someone else have the same problems? Should I contact care?
