[Bug] Bluetooth sleep/power states [answered]

I use the Jolla frequently in a car with a Pioneer DEH-6400BT radio/cd unit over bluetooth.

The problem is that no handshake takes place if the screen on the Jolla isn't displayed/active. Both devices are paired of course.

Works: [bluetooth on Jolla is active, hidden] Start car --> radio comes on --> double-tap Jolla to wake it up --> bluetooth handshake and connection takes place automatically and works well for the duration.

Does not work: [bluetooth on Jolla is active, hidden] Use Jolla --> when screen switches off --> start car --> no bluetooth handshake takes place........ever.

So, this seems to be a powersave bug since bluetooth handshake ONLY works when the Jolla screen is displayed/active. Please fix!

There is already a very similar thread covering most likely the same bug. https://together.jolla.com/question/868/media-player-trough-carkit-handsfreenot-working/

They're similar but no quite the same. I saw the other bluetooth problems raised before raising this one. The article you're pointing to talks about loosing bluetooth connectivity when playing videos/music on the phone after connecting via bluetooth.

My article is specifically to the alertness of the bluetooth handshake service (works with the display active, does NOT when sleeping/display off).

Hej trashin, i totally agree, but it point to the same buggy service, as bt-profiles are negotiated on any handshake. This is definitivly something that should be fixed.

Got you, we are in agreement then. I concur that this bug could be related in many other cases where bluetooth connections disconnect/reconnect. Here's hoping it will be fixed indeed.
