Circumventing device lock
Noticed that when I connect my phone to my computer I can circumvent the device lock. This only works if I have device lock on timer (I have it on 5mins). If no timer is set and I connect the phone to the computer, it works as it should (it asks for pass code), but with timer it just asks how I want to connect to the computer (I've chosen charging) and then I can access the phone without typing the code. Has anyone else noticed this?
Are you sure that the phone was locked when you connected it to the computer?
Dylan Van Assche ( 2015-11-17 15:24:37 +0200 )editPhone was unlocked, then screen was shutdown, and after at least 5 mins has passed I inserted the usb cable. It then asked me what mode I wanted. After selecting mode I can access the phone. Edit: During this time I didn't touch the phone, and inserted the cable while screen was off.

And it isn't that I haven't waited long enough as it does it even if an hour has passed (and timer is set to 5 minutes). However, if I open the phone after the timer has passed (without entering pass) and then shut off the screen, I get the insert passcode when I insert the usb cable. It's like the phone isn't locked until I open it normally..
