Hello, Could you please tell me what will happen with my Jolla Tablet order? I joined the tablet campaign via Indiegogo on 16 Dec. 2014.

Best regards,

Jimmy Nilsson

You are in for some bad surprises, man.

You didn't really order a tablet. You crowdfunded one.

I know this won't help, and sorry, but I am so glad I wasn't taken in by this, I was suspicious from the start, not being a 'product' ready to go, there should be a means for people to get refunded, these schemes are marked with me now forever as the sign a 'company' isn't taking a business seriously enough. They should have stuck with getting the OS out on other peoples hardware.

Nobody knows that yet, probably not even those who are responsable for it. I'm in the same boat as you are and have been expecting the tablet since at least late summer. Unfortunately Jolla has now bigger issues which directly affect the fate of tablet distribution/manufacturing. If you are not up to date yet about Jolla filing for debt restructuring: https://cdn.jolla.com/wp-content/uploads/bsk-pdf-manager/Jolla_press_release_20112015_FINAL_62.pdf

As soon as there are any useful news, I'm sure there will be information here on TJC or on https://blog.jolla.com, everything else is just speculation at the moment. According to recent statements, Jolla tries everything to find a solution for those who supported the Jolla tablet. But the possibility, that we end up with empty hands and lose our money, is realistic.

As annoying and disappointing this sounds, us Indiegogo users NEVER purchased or ordered a tablet. Those who used the pre-order campaign on shop.jolla.com (end of August 2015), should have a right for refund. But supporting a projects on Indigogo, especially being marked with "flexible funding", doesn't give you the right to get back your money. You invested in a project with all the possible risks - as a reward for your support you could get a Jolla tablet, but that's no "pre-order".

Btw, here the definition of flexible funding according to IGG: "With flexible funding, you keep all funds, even if you do not meet your goal." Mistakenly IGG often looks like some kind of online store, but finally it's the supporter who needs to be aware where the money goes to and what the risks are.

If you need more information about risks of funding an IGG campaign, this blog post is worth a read: http://wp.josh.com/2014/01/21/read-this-before-you-contribute-to-an-indiegogo-campaign/.

Sorry for the bad news... I hope that Jolla doesn't have to leave back many upset supporters, but the company is not obligated at all to refund your invested money and possibly doesn't even have the chance to.

Dude, we're not working for Jolla, @The 1 And Only just repeated, what was mentioned in the press release. There is no interest for the investor to offer it's name to avoid a shitstorm or something else, so if Jolla didn't name the investor I can understand it, because it is very likely they signed a paper were both sides agree to not communicate about their buisness.

After months of such nebulous messages I do not believe anything they write. All messages at every time full of "will" - "would", "try" and "work hard on"

But everybody can make his impressions for himself about the last months and all statements from them....

Jolla lost a big investor and is going through some financial problems. The tablets are on hold for now.
