Tutorial on building libraries/utils on SDK
As the title suggests. The process of writing an app is documented on the website. Is there a tutorial for building and creating a package for a library or util (ie something like avahi) in the SDK?
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

Something like this will get you started :
https://sailfishos.org/develop/tutorials/building-sailfish-os-packages-manually/
It explains in detail how to use the MER SDK build environment, with which you can basically build everything.
Yes, beware that if you run mersdk on virtualbox for windows, funky things will happen on ln commands for example.

Not a tutorial as such, but this might help; https://build.merproject.org/package/show/home:DrYak/avahi
Spam Hunter ( 2015-12-02 01:45:53 +0200 )editAvahi was an example to make people understand what i want to build with the SDK. I just couldn't think of another app at that point. I could have written efl for example (Enlightenment Foundation Libraries)
