[Request] copy & paste symbol(ism) [answered]

I sometime get confused about the SF symbolism for C&P: when I think a copy data I sometime insert data instead... that is very annoying in this moment.

Therefore I request TWO symbols for C&P: One for copy - what can be a notepad with arrow into it. And another one for paste - what can be a notepad with arrow away.

Any better idea?

@M.Bln. whatever you mark is automatically coppied to clipboard. to "paste" just tap where you want to insert and tap the button. in other words you need the symbol only to paste - therefore no more confusion :-)

@misc11: Many thanks, I never realized that marked text is always copied.

Yes, the copy-paste mechanism is very strange. While I like all the diferences of SFOS against android, this one sucks. What about when I want to paste something over an existing text? That is not possible - clicking the paste icon will copy the selected text, pressing backspace will cut it. The only possibility is to delete it manualy by pressing backspace many times. And that is stupid.

the copy/paste mechanism is tha same as in any linux. so if youre used to that everythings fine. if not - yeah, it can be weird at first. but in the end it saves you one tap at a copy button :)

@Aslanex the solution to your problem getting used to do it the other way around: first marking the text you want gone and click backspace. then mark the text to copy, tap where you want it pasted and press the paste icon. this way its faster, it requires you adopt a new behavior thought (took me also a while when i started linux)
