I read somewhere that the display of Jolla has not the possibility for that. The N9 has a different type of display.

Currently it will result in high power consumption because Jolla phone display is IPS - it consumes the same power despite amount of lighten pixels, while N9 display is AMOLED, where consumed power depends on the amount of lighten pixels. Both types has own pros & cons. Best solution is to create e.g. E-ink TOH.
