Double tap on the power button to unlock. Have used it on N9 for far to long to give up. Meaning the double tap on power sceen would bring the user to the active tiles screen or show the unlock code prompt.

Honestly, I have no idea what you mean. N9 has exact same wake up methods as Jolla - Single click on power button or doubletap on the screen.

Although this is older I dare to mark it as a duplicate of this. Also partially released (return to Home screen).

The power key configuration options inherited from N9 and earlier devices still exist and are used to some extent. But if they happen work as expected, it is more or less accidental.

Improvements to power key handling / configurability are in the plans to allow things like double press from display off -> homescreen (or device lock) instead of locksreen, double press from display on -> immediate device lock, etc.

My idea was that unlock with power button would return the user to the tiles screen or last open application. With N9 I usually locked the screen while in application to not accidentally navigate away from it etc.

Double-click on powerbutton should absolutely go back to the last active app!

Just a suggestion, Powermenu by coderus, a small app by coderus, found at warehouse apps; https://openrepos.net/content/coderus/powermenu or; use the Warehouse app on your jolla to find and install it. It seems to offer what is being asked for, although by default, the Doubletap action dialogue/configuration is set to disabled but offers to do the following; Disabled, Poweroff, Soft poweroff, Lock, Unlock, Lock/Unlock, Menu and Application. I would assume that these are complementary pieces of work i.e. what I talked about are enablers that should make it easier to configure/extend the power key functionality via things like powermenu -> no need to restart mce after config changes etc

I haven't used N9 that much, but it would be much better if I could some how go back to view where I were prior to screen lock. It irritating screen lock interrupts your android app use or web browsing and you have scroll back to where you where. So even if double tabbing power key could take me back to multitasking view it would help a little.
