Pure facts. From IGG campaign webpage, just to remember FOR WHAT WE HAVE PAID OUR MONEY:

FYI, the making you highlighted refers to the campaign, not the tablet. Just to remember ;-)

I have spend 60 % of my month salary to support Jolla (trough IGG Tablet campaign). Maybe You are rich enough ... I'm not.

Do I have at least the right to point them that RESPECT to customers is maybe more important than investors? With investors but without customers they are going to fall fast.

I fell a little bit angry when I'm reading that after Christmas officials of Jolla will decide what to do with the tablet burden because in fact in their opinion I didn't pay for tablet but to support 2.0 OS.

The risk was on my side but how they treat my money was on their side.

I completely understand your frustration. However, I see it the other way round: we unfortunately live in a world, when a company with customers but without investors is going to fall fast. Now, that they seem not to be fighting against bankruptcy any more, I am sure they will want to recover the trust towards themselves, and that will include refunding or delivering the tablet. Otherwise SailfishOS is most probably doomed, they must see that as well. That is the reason why I want to support them instead of fighting them. I hope to get the tablet one day...

I'm not fighting with Jolla. Moreover - I'm still a big fan of them! I'm just surprised why they thinking how to behave ... But on the other hand ... me, You, all of us are the last one responsible for the bankruptcy! If You feel that writing pure facts is somehow FIGHT with Jolla than I'm more surprised! A is A, B is B. For me simple.

You are completely right. I rather feel that people are writing A is A, A, A, A, A, A and A. Somebody hasn't heard yet? AAAAA!

That does not help the situation. This situation is least our fault, yes, but sure we would be at the end of the line in case of liquidation. So we are on the same side as Jolla after all.

You are not the first to make these "arguments" (nor will you be the last, I fear). So, canned response: crowdfunding is not the same as ordering a tablet from amazon. If you wanted the latter, you should have done the latter. Please use the search function next time before posting.

Now, I can understand (just as any other backer) the frustration associated with the delays, the sometimes sub-optimal communication and, now, the uncertain future. However, I want Jolla to succeed. In the context of the tablet, I believe that they tried (and try) their best to make it happen. There is no shame in trying and failing! Some of these passive-aggressive voices either explicitly accuse or implicitly hint that Jolla somehow embezzled money. A serious accusation! If this was true, during the current court hearings/investigations related to the debt reorganization this would surface and the people responsible would get what they deserve. However: the court has granted Jolla permission to continue and reorganize their debt. That tells me the books must have been in good order.

Bottom line: this whole item does not add anything new and/or useful to the discussion nor is it a question.

Of course there is no shame if you tries and fall ... But there is something unfair if You are not honest ... and this is my question ... about true intentions, about communication, if Jolla responsibly manage my money. If I promise something I'd secured the funds. For my 250 I have at least permission to ASK. Ask without "?". On the other hand we can treat like children, tuck tails and said ... oh common nothing happens. The experiment failed. Please don't treat me like an enemy!! If we take seriously each other, let us have the courage to ask the tough questions. Especially inside community! Not from outside. To avoid future misunderstanding!

After several months of delay ... maybe in one, maybe in two weeks (nobody knows) they will gather just to think what to do. Aren't you worried? Maybe there was NO PLAN AT ALL?

@sidv He wasn't demanding a tablet, so your "canned response" is apropos of nothing. Nobody is arguing that crowdfunding is a risk.

He was referring to the obnoxious saying of Antti Saarnio in his blog post that it is kinda obvious to spend all IGG money on Sailfish development instead of the tablet itself, and anyone who feels indignant about that - "makes no sense".

This is what the OP actually highlighted in this post. It is amazing how people here react to a polite, understated expression of anxiety.

I think all contributors are aware of this. It is definitely a pity that plans did not turn out as expected. However, I do not see your point in posting this "with no comments", because the only reasonable thing we can do right now, is hope (and help) Jolla to stay alive. Otherwise it is sure that we will neither see our money or our tablet. Over a certain limit it makes no sense to throw sh*t on each other, it just makes the community's relationship with Jolla worse.

I would be trying to make as little harm as possible to a company I am expecting something from. This does not include erasing my memory, but includes some moderation of my communication, in this case with a focus on not repeating "conversations" which damage both sides.

i think it is about the communication. to say ' tablet is a burden' is a joke indeed. nobody forced them. and yes it would have been great to know before christmas if there will be a tablet or not
