I'm seeing some odd behaviour in the Calendar in the month view, I can tap on any day in the first, second, third or fifth rows (and the sixth row if one is displayed, e.g. November 2015) but I can NOT tap on any day in the fourth row from the top. e.g. December 2015, as I move my finger down the screen I can tap on Dec 2 and it's highlighted, same for Dec 9, Dec 16. Tap on 23 nothing happens. Tap on 30 and it's highlighted.

Just noticed this only happens when I hold the phone in portrait mode, if I rotate the display to landscape it works as expected, rotate back to portrait and it happens again.

Everything is working fine for me. Do you have any patches installed?

No patches installed. Rebooted the phone, no change.

Try re-installing the calendar app via command line.

Calendar is not a default app, you have to install it on a new Jolla from the Harbour. So you may try reinstalling it the same way if you are not familiar with the command line.

FWIW, I have no problem with highlighting any day in the month view either.

Thanks for the suggestion. I uninstalled Calendar in the Jolla Store and reinstalled it. No change.

Workaround: rotate phone to landscape mode.

That sounds like a hardware problem. A certain area of your screen not responding to the touch. In landscape mode, does the sixth column work? That would be all Saturdays.

turn the phone in portrait up side down and check if it works

i see its not possible without the patch

That area of the screen responds to touch, just not in portrait mode in Calendar. In landscape mode it works perfectly.

This is actually a hardware issue. There is a band across the screen (just below the volume down screen) which does not respond correctly to touch. I installed Papocchio (drawing app) from the Jolla store and I can't tap or swipe into that area. This is the reason I was having difficulty with some pulley menus too (I thought I was just doing it wrong!) Looks like I'll have to return my Jolla :(
