As we already know from the new year's blog post, only a small part of the IGG backer will get the rest of the tablets. I pre-ordered mine from the official online shop. The information presented there was as if i buy directly (pre-order) a not yet sold tablet (as a rest of the to be produced and more than to be sold). So i pre-ordered and paid for a finished product, didn't support the development as interpreted when joining the IGG campaign. Do I get my money back and how?

As you are from with in EU, you can cancel the order with Jolla ahead (contact Jolla, no need to go the berserk way and --force with paypal or something), or if they ship it you got 14days to return it (untouched of course).

For those who want to play, you can make your own tablet-like device for less then 100euros using Raspberry Pi: https://sailpi.wordpress.com/installation/ I've tried yesterday and it seems to work. Of course partially, but at least this is fun. Maybe I'll be able to test some applications on that setup.

Most likely the pre-orders were added to the end of the backers list and you are not likely see your tablet. Other option is they deliver the pre-orders first and fill as many backers as they can after that (as your was purchase while others backed crowdfunding project with involved risks), but that would generate even bigger outcry from the backers and I don't think Jolla is going to take this route.

For refund I would first contact Jolla and if they can't return your money, contact your credit card company and ask them for refund.

transaction was done through paypal, and so if you file a dispute with paypal you will get refunded

Wow, this just spells fraud. I'm glad I never went that way and ordered. In fact, it was the deficiency's of the phone that scared me away even before it went sideways.

@Larswad what is/was wrong with the phone? Mine has worked perfectly and I don't miss any features. Could use more native apps, but I only need few apps anyway and even less in regular use.

Browser clunky to use and buggy. Dalvik lacks so many features (no real hardware compatibility layer for WiFi, Bluetooth profiles etc.) and compatability issues, is built on such old android that it is nearly useless. OOM killer kicks in all the time for many apps (or device being unresponsive). User interface after 2.0 clunky in general, it was a sense of relief when I left SFOS UI for the Nexus. Battery drain increased for every release (unless fresh reinstall saved it for a while). No replacement battery, no spare parts concept whatsoever, (cracked screen = death). No paid apps support, most apps ever built felt meaningless. Not even standard x11 based apps could be built for it (they never wanted Wayland x11). Only SDL 2.0 support when still most SDL software is built for 1.2. Apps folder looks like cryptic shapes, too much time wasted all the time trying to find apps. Meaningless home screen. Lock screen clunky, no camera access, no easy to use unlock method. Bad placement of charger and headphones. Only 2.4 ghz wifi. Phonebook STILL buggy after so many releases, it mixes up contacts with the automatic link "feature". Camera produces shit images. Only thing I still liked was the ssh, smb server and the Qt based development toolsuite in the end. The rest felt like a pile of glossy animation sequences built on top of everything else.

Sorry, but the world evolved, and Jolla just seemed to wanted "unlike" rather than evolve and fix the crappy stuff.

persobally I didnt belive in a delivery of the tablet anymore and i issued a case via paypal. shortly aftet i got refunded the payment that i did (in sept.) sorry to jolla that i pulled thr money, but without any signs of deliveries, i need my money for other purposes.... i am still up to support the project and for any future hatdware i am eager to support again
