[request] File Browser - preserve modification time when copying a file

File Browser is a really useful application, especially for people like me with a preference for GUIs.

There's only one thing that could be handled better, to my mind.

If you take a video, for example, and then copy it to the SD card in order to have a back-up, all information on the recording time gets lost because change time and modification time are set to the current time.

As the content of the file isn't changed by copying, I see no reasons for / advantages of using "cp" instead of "cp -p" in File Browser.

That's why I personally would like to have the possibility to copy files preserving their timestamps in a future update of File Browser.

That is pretty much standard behaviour... and I doubt that the developer of File Browser reads and follows TJC carefully enough to catch your complaint, you are probably better off filing an issue on github.

Thanks for your advice. I had found another request about File Browser on TJC, so I had originally thought it would be possible to ask here instead of creating an account anywhere else.

@Laura maybe he reads the comments section in the Jolla-Store?

Good idea. I'll try to write my request a bit shorter.
