Unable to end call [not relevant]

I had two phone calls today and both times I was unable to end the call. Both times I needed to wait the other end to hang up. My screen looked ok though, the end call button was visible, just nothing happened when I tried to tap it. Also I tried swiping down to close the call app but that did also nothing, the app stayed full screen. I had a few other apps open at the same time, so it's possible that any of those could have hogged all the resources and make the UI unresponsive.

Has anyone experienced similar problem? Is there some safety limits for application cpu/memory usage which would forcefully shut them down to prevent UI lock up during important actions like during phone call?

I think the same happend to me few days ago, too. I thought it was my fault at first. But it does definitely not happen with every call. Thus, CPU/memory usage can be a good reason for that.

i couldn't answer a call yesterday ... screen just didn't response, like if the touch-part didn't wake up... try putting the phone to sleep or at least covering the proximity sensor for a short time and then rewake it, if it happens again...

Hmm.. It's totally possible to be thingie with proximity sensor. Need to try out fiddling with that one next time if the same thing happens.

I've come across this a couple of times and, at least in my case so far, it has only happened with incoming calls - never when I was the caller.

Wild speculation here but I'm just wondering if this could be a timing issue and somehow related to the fact that the screen turns on when you remove the phone from your ear. Like some kind of a resource conflict, race condition or something similar?

Had the same but my Screen stays black so no change to end call. No change to double tap or press lock key? Also not to put the Phone back to the ear and back did not help. Just the hackup from the other side returns the screen.

I've just experienced the exact same thing, after a call that lasted over 30 minutes (the call was initiated by me).

I haven't been able to see this after updating to 1.0.4.20. Though it's been only a week, but I'm hopeful. Please report here if you are still having the same problem, I'm planning to close this question as resolved after another week from the update has passed.
