meerun removed during update to 2.0.1.7 [answered]

The meerun sportstracker is removed during the update to 2.0.1.7 because the required package gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg is no longer available.

I'm aware that this must be addressed by the meerun developer in the long run, but as a temporary workaround, do you think it is possible to install the gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg package again and how could you do that? It is no longer available via the default repos.

oh, I thought to have it uninstalled it by mistake. I've reported this to Mr. Walter. Meerun is one of the few Apps I actually use.

I still have MeeRun after the update, and it works...

Interesting, what version of meerun have you installed? I had the issue with 2.4.4

interesting, seems to be 2.4.4, checking up my sailfish version.. seem to be that my update to 2.0.1.7 has failed, when i did it. And indeed MeeRun is gone, and your force install worked (y)

To answer my own question:

After some tests, it seems that meerun does not really need the libs provided by the missing gstreamer0.10 package.

I managed to get it running by forcing the installation on the command line:

[nemo@Jolla ~]$ devel-su
...
[root@Jolla nemo]# rpm -Uhv --nodeps /path/to/harbour-meerun.rpm

Can someone else confirm that this is working for him? I even have audio feedback now that did not work before!

Thanks so much - was really missing the app!

Thanks, wouldn't been able to solve that myself. I would have tried to install this missing "gstreamer what so ever" package.
