Waiting for refund or the surprise Jolla talking about. They want us to speculate according to their blog so feel free.

I think we get candy.

I would just like to know what i'm up against, so i can move on and maybe buy something else. Back ontopic: i think we will get a nice Jolla sticker with a picture of the tablet so we can at least look at it on a daily basis.

@Dave999, did you apply for a refund?

I'll give some optimistic nouns:

  1. Jolla and Fairphone are going to support Sailfish OS on the new Fairphone officially and the Crowdfunding backers get their spent amount as discount when they buy a Fairphone with Sailfish OS.
  2. The Crowdfunding backers get an exclusive opportunity to buy an Intex aqua fish with discount. By this step Intex examines its market chances in Europe.

Many of us already got a Jolla Phone. We don't need another.

Best would be if we got option to refund or get discounts...

I backed for a tablet. I don't want to put any more money to buy anything to get a discount. Possibly could have a phone without EXTRA money to sinking ship or a full refund.

Probably we'll get some more obscure blogs about possible future plans of tablet. And could get a sticker for next christmas.

BTW. New Android 6 is quite tempting. I think Jolla should get at least some upgrade to the Jolla Android if they want to keep the boat on surface. Wearables are coming fast but almost no support on Jolla devices.

Also wondering about the offer they'll make. Saarnio did say originally they were looking at finishing the tablet or refunding. Then in the new year's blog both these options were off the table and nothing concrete instead.

Allowing us to speculate ("feel free to speculate") was another insult. We don't need Jolla's permission to do so!

In all, I'm fed up with it. I hate to say it, but I'm moving on. The money I spent on the tablet is written off. Too bad, but it's a risk with crowdfunding.

But I will say this. If the only thing we can get is a discount coupon for another new Sailfish product, I'll be disappointed. If it is some useless merchandise like a T-shirt or other resource wasting cap, I'll refuse it. Basically, anything useless that costs Jolla some money, I'll prefer to have even a partial refund instead.

Most realistic scenario is that we will be offered an Intex phone (with a discount).

Or likely a tablet from Index or from a new partner. It is obvious from their new year's blog that there will be no refund and a solution will be find for all orders.

They need to fully explain how and refund all...it's a long way to go.

wI'll Jolla refund all backers with half of the amount now and rest later or will they refund half of the backers fully now and the rest later?

Jolla: "2. Refund the remaining Indiegogo contributors: Jolla aims to refund the total contribution, including shipping and all accessories. Due to the financial constraints this will happen in two parts: half of the refund will be done during Q1/2016, and the other half within a year, our financial situation permitting."

I gave Jolla my money because I want the tablet, not another phone/whatever, so, after more than one year I only can call them LIARS. You had money enough to develop/produce & ship..... Enjoy my money, because you will get no more from me. I wish you will sink definetively. P.S.: Try to save a piece of soul and honour and deal with people as you want them to deal with you, or do hou want us to get your money for nothing?.....oh, not "nothing", just excuses.

Hi Pawel! It's not just only money. It's a matter of respect. And maybe a little more than 200 euros is not too much money for you, but you don't know if I need that money or not. OK, you can say: "if you don't have the money, don't risk it trough this kind of stuff or buying tablets", and in fact, when I joined the IGG campaign I had a great job, but the company I worked in was bought by a bigger competitor, and most of the jobs were moved to another region or even another country, and currently I'm unemployed, so, it's probably that "200 bucks" could be a lot of money for me now to be "on hold" for another year without reason.....

What about launching your own IGG campaign "Help me cover my loss from the Jolla Tablet campaign". I have seen, there are many alike, and you might be lucky!

lakutalo ( 2016-02-05 09:21:22 +0300 )edit

200 euros are not nothing. and it took me a month to decide to join the campaign. but still its a kind of first world problem. we bought a tablet and we will not get it. so what. nothing personal, but read the blog on jolla.com. it makes me sick: prometheus and co
