A dare for Jolla: Display the number of people waiting for tablet refund prominently on every page of jolla.com, and keep it there as long as it takes. Make it a brightly colored progress bar and own it.

Since Jolla conveniently set up the refund process in a way that gives them every incentive to procrastinate and screw it up as badly as possible (defaulting to donations, seriously?), it would be nice if they had some incentive to actually get it done.

Edit. On second thought, that was a spiteful way to express my thoughts about defaulting to donations. A torrent of hateful comments after every blog posting is probably incentive enough anyway to get this done (kudos for Jolla for not whitewashing comment).

Truth: Yes, defaulting to donation as a crowd-funding is usually not up for a refund and they just try to play nice with their community.

What's the point? It is already too late. Jolla has built themselves such a reputation that no one in their right mind would trust that such a progress bar actually reflects reality.

Why such hostility? Jolla has a history of having a mouth full of words like "openness" but the reality, as we all know, is diametrically different. I would not demand it on every page but at least some attempt at openness and transparency would be a welcome change after years of bull. Unlike if you like.

Its not hostility. Its a proper -IMO at least- response to a childish request by a person i assume is an adult. Sadly we've seen it again -by a small amount of people luckily- when people were asking for them to publish profits and other similar utterly preposterous things.

The loud mouths of Jolla did more bad to them than good and i hope in the future they will be more careful with what they say and the expectations they create.
