Hi,

I tried to use gst-launch command to play a recording via another application but it complains that WAV decoder/plugin is missing. I wonder if anyone could figure out which app might install it. On one Jolla I have it working, on another I can't figure out which app to add. Both Jolla's are on the same version of Sailfish.

I appreciate any help,

Babo

WAV should be supported by gstreamer-plugins-good. Maybe you're missing the 0.10 or 1.0 version?

I created a case in Jolla Service and Support and did what I was instructed (executed a command which is to update the system once again) but unfortunately didn't help. The wav file plays fine in "Recorded" application, it also play on the other Jolla the same way how I am trying to play it on this one. Weird situations. The difference between Jolla's is that one (the one which works) was bought 1.5 years ago with Sailfish 1.0 and upgraded through the whole sequence. The other one (the one which doesn't manage to play it) is bought recently and came with Sailfish 2.0 ready. The update command though didn't help so I don't know what could anymore be :(

And I checked the gstreamer and it is, at least now after the repeated update, the version 1.0.

This is just a guess, but I have the Recorder app installed, and it records and plays wav files; maybe it installs the component you need?

Thanks for the guess :) That was also my first assumption but somehow it didn't help. I still haven't tried the above mentioned gstreamer plugin, have to check that one. Thanks for trying :)
