If I want to write for instance "hello" and press hello after the first letters, then I get an additional space. An additional period or other punctuation mark won't remove the space. I get "hello .".

Update: In the SMS app it correctly works. In the browser and in Android apps it does not. (tested it with English and German)

This behavior is independent of Sailfish's version.

I don't experience this. A punctuation mark replaces the space. The only exception (as with most text input functions) is the browser.

For me it doesn't always replace the space, even in native apps.

Hi @wosrediinanatour I cannot reproduce this on 2.0.1.7; when I add a punctuation mark, the space disappears and I get "hello." Is there anyone else with the same problem?

Maybe it depends on the language? My system language is German, I'm using German, English and Turkish keyboard layouts.

That explains it all, Ossi. I am experiencing the same behaviour ever since. I just was not aware of that it only happens in the browser. I have just reproduced it.
