It would be great if all those who come here to rant and rave at Jolla for being uncaring and deceitful - or for Sailfish OS being buggy or limited - could please take a long hard look at the way Apple are treating their customers. Thank you.

@jollailija, not that I disagree with you, but in the interest of balance,

  • With a (forced?) cloud backup, you do not lose data on a factory reset ;-)

@pichlo some data is backuped for Apple, so you loose it on a reset, just Apple doesn't :D

@pichlo What if I don't want to save my stuff to the cloud (there is actually no cloud, you are just saving your stuff on a strangers computer)?
Also, you can't backup everything, and even if you could, you'd have to pay for extra storage.
On the Jolla you can just tar your home folder (and the folder with app databases) onto the sd card and you are basically golden.

Come on, you two. Has none of you noticed my smiley at the end? ;-)

Please just keep this stuff on a blog or a forum post, TJC is already filled with subjective complaints, adding subjective praise isn't making the situation any better.

What kinds of questions should be avoided?

Please avoid asking questions that are not relevant to this community, too subjective and argumentative.
