Hello!
I think better to change (or make possibility a choice) mediaplayer control screen on a locked phone.
The mediaplayer control panel to move up. This location is convenient if you use a flip case. (example: http://shop.jolla.com/eu_en/cat-accessories/mapbagrag-flip-case-for-jolla-origami.html)

I think long-press on volume buttons will work better.
