Safe to delete ~/android_storage/insidesecure?

Hi everybody,

on my phone the folder ~/android_storage/insidesecure/content-cache uses 5.6 GB of disk space. Short duckduckgoing points in a NFC direction(?). The two keywords "android" and "cache" lower the bias for just deleting the folder. Does anybody know what this folder is about? Is something bad likely going to happen?

Cheers, Thomas

Well, if you ask me, the folder clearly indicates it's a cache so it should be safe to empty it if you ask me. I cannot provide any information on what uses this folder though.

If you are unsure, you can simply rename the folder and see if everything keeps working. If nothing breaks - delete the renamed folder. Otherwise, simply undo the rename.

After reviewing the (few) Android apps I have installed, I could follow the lead to maxdome (German VoD service) which uses Inside Secure for DRM. As the app doesn't show any offline available videos the 5.6 GB disk space used is quite surprising imho.
