[request/idea] Manage shared folders between Sailfish and Android from Settings
I think that the idea of having the possibility to choose which folders can be shared between Sailfish and Android could be nice!
I'm thinking about what happens inside i.e. Parallels Desktop, Virtualbox or any other VM manager: the idea is to have a section inside settings, in particular inside Android Support settings, just to choose folders to be shared.
This would help and ease the changings inside Android apps (i.e. sending documents inside WhatsApp, etc..), and would help Jolla in improving Android Support without releasing a new version each time an Android app changes its features.
EDIT 2018-04: not yet added in v2.1.4
of course, now everybody are sending documents over whatsapp :D
coderus ( 2016-03-15 06:31:31 +0300 )editit's a possibility, and it is very useful :D
palikao ( 2016-03-15 13:36:27 +0300 )editWell, I could be possible to extend this to a dual boot phone.
gfwp ( 2016-08-25 22:43:35 +0300 )editSymbolic links maybe?
to keep dowloads from both native email app and android's firefox in one directory, and to see them all in Documents app.
tgwit ( 2016-09-06 16:25:49 +0300 )editI have found symlinks to not work reliably where i cant use a symlink to direct an android app to access and store a folder and data on an SD Card, as just an example.
DarkTuring ( 2016-11-13 03:48:23 +0300 )editI mean, something user-friendly.. Not to be set from terminal.. I think that it should be something for all users, to be managed from Settings.
palikao ( 2016-11-13 09:33:31 +0300 )editI have just installed android filemanager Solid Explorer, and now i can pick any file from filesystem when sending document/photo/video/whatever.
coderus ( 2016-11-13 10:57:27 +0300 )editWhy you just bumped 5 questions??? What the purpose of doing this?
coderus ( 2017-04-18 11:45:05 +0300 )edit@coderus Why do you ALWAYS complain about whatever I do? Just updating, refining my ideas
palikao ( 2017-04-18 12:06:55 +0300 )editStill not fixed in: xxx is NOT a refining of ideas.
coderus ( 2017-04-18 12:21:26 +0300 )editOf course it is :)
palikao ( 2017-04-18 12:22:22 +0300 )editLol at you.
coderus ( 2017-04-18 12:23:53 +0300 )editThank you, cod! Don't waste your time complaining about whatever I do, have a nice day!
palikao ( 2017-04-18 12:25:47 +0300 )editYou just dont respect community by bumping questions.
coderus ( 2017-04-18 12:28:30 +0300 )editNo bump, only updates and refinings. I respect community more than what you do, believe me.
