Patch for miniaturized views of actual app instead of covers

I don't really like the covers. Often I want to read some information from the app but when I minimize it I see the cover instead. I would much prefer a scaled down version of the actual app, like in webOS or in the browser app. This way I could for example read information (e.g. serial number) from the cover of a gallery pic I took. Is there a patch out there to remove the covers? Is it even possible?

Personally, I'd say coveractions could stay as an overlay (compare browser app behaviour).

This was the case with the glorious N9... I wish jolla would have copied it more.

It's applications feature, developer can not use covers and then actual view of application (miniaturized) will be displayed. But patch for doing that for lipstick, ignoring covers and drawing view of apps instead is possible and doable imho .

That sounds cool. Android apps also just show the content of the app. Another reason why I prefer the full view instead of the cover is because I find it easier to recognize when they look the same as lastime when I used it. I tend to get confused wich cover belongs to wich app.

imho, that feature (behavior) should-could be user customizable.. Not absolute.. So.. An option inside Settings..

@palikao: Yeah, in some apps covers are usable. A good suggestion!

Can somebody give some hint or guidance how can this be done in lipstick? Is it possible to code it without SDK,with moderate programming skills, and with some common sense? Or coderus, could you maybe implement a solution in your combined launcher settings applet?
