took a bit more, but after reading and executing this https://together.jolla.com/question/125263/did-mce-tools-disappear/ I could Install 'poor maps'. Funny, my Jolla came with 2.0.1.7 installed.

i have no trouble installing it but in that case try to open the terminal and give the command pkcon refresh...wait for the process to finish then try again :)
thank you. Learned: Hovered a long time around 8%, then announced 'Fatal Error: Authenification failed (is SSU set up correctly?) Same message if ? >su root< then >pkcon refresh<
