Hello there guys,

Due to my JP being bricked (currently(?)) i wrote a exporter for SailfishOS calendar database. You can find the tool here: https://github.com/ozzi-/sailfishcalendartoics and a compiled version here : https://github.com/ozzi-/sailfishcalendartoics/raw/master/sfcaltoics.jar

However, i need your help! I am not sure if i am interpreting the dates properly, so please provide feedback if the times are correct (import in Thunderbird or something similar). I can't really test since i do not have a JP to crosscheck.

What would be great if somebody could create a few calendar entries covering all usecases (birthday event, event with start end on the same day, start and end on another day, reoccurring event daily, weekly) so i can confirm that the exporter works as intended!

Regards, ozzi

Quoting the readme.md file ;)

Assuming you have Java installed on your PC:

1. Copy home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Calendar/mkcal to your computer

2. Open your command line and type: java -jar sfcaltoics.jar "C:\Path\To\db" "C:\Path\To\ics"(optional)

3. Import ICS in your software of choice

Note that there is also https://git.merproject.org/mer-core/nemo-qml-plugin-calendar/tree/master/tools/icalconverter which can be used for this purpose also. I too would be grateful if people could test a variety of events and provide feedback.

Update: It is now working fine with timezones, birthdays. Added some fixes and the newest jar to github.
