As there are more phones and other devices with Sailfish OS as native / pre-installed or officially supported OS coming out, here is a Wiki page for general overview, a shopping guide and information where to buy. May come handy for anyone new or looking for compact info.

Feel free to edit, expand and add infos.

  • KISS - keep it simple, stupid. Please state only facts - and no personal opinions (the comments are for rants)
  • When adding an entry keep it short, link to sources and add month/year of entry. Thx.
  • Add a separate wiki answer for each model only when it becomes available and can be ordered and bought at least in some parts of the world (not when it is only rumored or planned). Specifications can be obtained by using the application AIDA64 from the Jolla Store.

Table of content

Available devices

Devices with official Sailfish OS software package available that can be ordered and bought at least in some parts of the world. Jolla is selling the software package, the owners can purchase, download and install it on their own devices.

Devices with pre-installed Sailfish OS that can be ordered and bought at least in some parts of the world.

  • INOI T8 tablet (l801em)
Note that the devices sold by INOI usually lack a license for the "AlienDalvik" Android runtime environment.

Planned / rumored devices

Devices for which official SailfishOS support is either announced or rumored.

Community ports

Besides these commercially available products, there are also so called community ports of Sailfish OS available for numerous other devices - you can just download and install them by yourself. Especially, check out the most active (but this list is unmaintained since 2017) or all (maintained list) ports / adaptations listed at the MERproject wiki.
Note that community ports lack the proprietary, third party components AlienDalvik (Android runtime environment), "EAS" (Exchange Server support) and XT9 (for which a Free Software alternative exists: presage).

Legacy devices

Newer (than 2016) devices, which are discontinued by their manufacturer but fully supported by recent Sailfish OS releases.
These are easy to buy used and provide a hardware platform on par with current devices.

Older (2013 - 2016) devices, which are discontinued by their manufacturers but still supported by recent Sailfish OS releases.
These are hard to obtain, provide outdated hardware and seem to receive only little testing nowadays.

Older devices, which are discontinued by their manufacturers and not supported by current Sailfish OS releases.

Legacy rumored devices

Cemetery of broken dreams. Older then 2 years and still not available.

Additional Infos

  • Jolla-Devices is reported to sell aforementioned, internationally available devices with the free edition of "SailfishX" preinstalled, so one can upgrade to the full (paid & licensed) edition simply by entering the Jolla Store credentials and installing the relevant packages (i.e., without re-flashing / re-installing SailfishOS). As Jolla-Devices fails to clearly state that on their webpages, you might inquire first. Note that Jolla does not allow to transfer or resell full "SailfishX" licenses, thus one has to buy a full license from Jolla her-/himself. (02/2018)
  • Press release, Apr 4, 2017: Sailfish China consortium proceeding to implementation phase.
  • Jolla has started discussions in South Africa (from a press release, Nov 29, 2016).

PuzzlePhone should also come this year (2016) and they were promising SFOS support.

I'm not sure if this indicates a community port or an official port, but it sounds like the PinePhone will be another option in the future:

That is a "community build", which the Pine64 people are planning to make and distribute.

olf ( 2019-07-25 01:10:54 +0300 )edit

Would an official port of Sailfish OS on a PinePhone be considered "rooted" or not?

vattuvarg ( 2019-08-20 19:13:01 +0300 )edit
1

For Android apps checking if the Secure Boot trustchain is intact: "Rooted", as on all devices running AOSP in a container.

For all other apps: They don't care or can be tricked into believing they are not running on a "rooted" device by the help of MicroG.

Why you then post here. We don't want anything Android trash content here!

I do not understand these retards who post shit for TJC..

Seems there is always assholes who try to sabotage Sailfish.

because it is listed above:

Planned/rumoured devices

SHIFT6mq – planned Q3 2018, preorder price 654 €

But nice that you insult people for no reason.

@makarch Apologizes, I didn't see that. I recently saw some spamming here TJC and also other Sailfish themed forums.

So that was quick counter..

Next time better to be more sure before posting anything.

but actually he is right. because the entry post states quite clearly that answers should ONLY be added for available sailfish devices- not for rumor changes, stopped or whatever. therfore the answer here is misplaced and exactly not what the purpose of this wiki entry is. it is best to delete it. it simply has no value for the wiki. the right way would have been to comment it or editbthe entry wiki page with the information.

kaktux ( 2018-01-14 21:11:13 +0300 )edit

@Jk: Dont worry. Everything is fine.

@kaktux Sometimes I wonder whats wrong with people. It is listed as planned/rumoured device, it but wont be released with SFOS and der is no answer section for Swift6mq.

I posted this that someone can update it - i cant. If you want to delete it. I do it. I dont care - I did something in good faith to help, thats it!

Basically the same hardware as Jolla C, Intex Aquafish and INOI R7.

Does it come with an AlienDalvik license?

olf ( 2018-07-13 20:45:50 +0300 )edit

I have tried to get a straight answer from Jala if I can buy a phone with Sailfish OS from them later this month when I visit La Paz. No luck yet.

The phone is advertised as having SfOS but availability is very unclear.

vattuvarg ( 2018-12-06 23:51:53 +0300 )edit

I think that Accione has not reach the market :-( I asked some time to that Jala account, but they weren't answering...

minojolla ( 2019-10-17 19:27:12 +0300 )edit

I looks like it did "reach the market", but Jala seems to have abandoned SailfishOS (and consequently the Accione and Accione P phones) sometime in 2019.

olf ( 2019-10-17 19:50:56 +0300 )edit
1

I can more or less confirm the above. It seems that both Jala and Jolla have abandoned the Accione line of phones.

  • Jala tells me after numerous contacts, both personal and over the net, that they no longer flash the Accione devices with Sailfish OS. My Accione never had the opportunity to participate in the software trial, only Accione P phones could.

  • Jolla's facebook staff redirects me to the zendesk where the staff informs me that they don't offer flashing for any hardware and that they cannot help me.

So basically I bought a phone that was advertised as a Sailfish OS device. ...and learned that promises regarding Sailfish OS are not to be trusted, sadly enough.

It will soon be christmas and miracles have a tendency to happen at that time of the year.

So I keep my fingers crossed.

AFAICS, the Aigo x86 tablet is an Android device, which is based on the same circuit design as the Jolla tablet, but comes with only 16 GB eMMC (internal FLASH memory).
It can be reflashed to SailfishOS per a hacked, unlicensed Firmware image taken from the Jolla tablet.

Thus it does not belong in above list, IMO.
