I use an app to enter data of my car costs. On the numeric fields, it shows the numeric keypad to enter data. For decimals it offers a comma, but the app needs me to enter a point, it doesn't recognize a comma. Can I change the comma on the keypad into a point? Thanks for a reply!

Which app you are talking about....? You could get in touch with the author of the app you use and ask him/her if they will consider implementing such a change.

Tere are a number of questions here on TJC in which people complain about the numeric keyboard offering either no decimal separator at all or the wrong one. It's certainly not an issue of the app (which might even be an Android one), it's up to Jolla to finally solve this nuisance.

@ossi1967 - point taken, but the OP says he uses "an app to enter data". What makes you so certain it's not an app problem?, perhaps when the OP gives more detail, we can work it out. I have no idea of this so called nuisance - perhaps EnglishUK keyboard is not affected by this 'bug/problem', as I've never encountered it and I've been using Jolla since it's launch.

@Markkyboy So the en_UK numeric keyboard has both a comma and a period to choose from? If so, Jolla just forgot to fix it for the rest of the universe. :)

Number keyboard uses decimal separator based on current language. If an application doesn't accept decimal separator used in majority of countries* it surely is application's fault. Having said that, it could be an option to allow also point with e.g. a key popup.

Such a popup would seem the most sensible, because regardless of my localization, sometimes it needd to be a point, on another app or webpage it might have to be a comma ...

Or longpress on separator could show some optinal

Decimal separator works fine (point) after upgrade to 2.0.2.51.Thanks Jolla team for paying attention! I didn't run into a situation where I'd need a comma, but my favourite android apps Car report & Split it! behave as should be expected. Thx!

The same issue reappeared. Is it because I installed the dutch language pack from warehouse? Anyway after uninstalling and rebooting there still is no point but a comma as a decimal separator in the numeric keypad. Any ideas someone?

I don't think it is related, those screenshots show a numpad without point nor comma, I had always one. A comma instead of a point, but the button was always there ...
