Was the Aquafish phone abandoned by Intex and that's where all the Jolla C phones came from? Like, Intex produced a bunch, but then abandoned it and sold all the units to Jolla, which are now being sold as Jolla C.

Source? None.
So far. Nothing! And just a hint, Aquafish should come with 2.0.2.x, which is not final as for now. So I expect official release in India will start after the release. And the rumors here suggest, that the release will reach beta-status in the coming week. It is delayed, that is normal (especially for Jolla).

yeah, i know, but it's just a fair question. We didn't hear about Aquafish for a long time, and Jolla said previously that they won't be producing any phones no more. And suddenly out of blue they are selling Jolla C, which is basically has the same hardware

@kaktux well, yes, it was not that long. But it would be nice to hear some news about Aquafish

2000 devices are nothing, especially if I think about the huge market in India (1 billion people, minus the lower average income than in europe). I think they used the first bunch of devices just as opportunity to feed the developers and enthusiast-users. Especially to calm us down, since the desaster last year.

Don't worry, be happy :)

@Ossi It would be nice not to twist arguments... No one talked about Jolla-Intex Cooperation itself... - Aquafish announcement is the date that matters... and that was told to in late february 2016 by Intex to be Q2 2016 (via twitter) + shown on MWC.

In my book Q2 isn't really a long time.. - and threads like this remind me of the faq:

"What kinds of questions should be avoided? Please avoid asking questions that are not relevant to this community, too subjective and argumentative. "

Sadly this happens more and more on tjc - quality really dropped since the tablet-incident.

oh come on, it's just a question. It's just an obvious correlation, i thought that maybe i've missed some news about it. I didn't imply that it is true. And any jolla employee could have just answered with simple "no, it is not true".

And also truely hope that it is not true
