Mobile connection reliability problem [duplicate]

The mobile network connection has some reliability issues on my phone (Jolla1, SFOS 2.0.1.11)
Symptoms :
1. "no network" icon, sometimes for hours. It either:
a. searches network forever
b. search ends with "Oops!!! no network found"
c. displays some bogus entries. I suppose the entries last from successful search - usually they don't work
2. Displays some 3G/4G with good signal but is actually not reachable.
Sometimes after some fiddling, it detects the dropped connection and starts searching. May lead to case 1.
The "restart network" cures the problem sometimes. But most of the time only reboot fixes it.
All this happens in a stable location, with rather good signal.
Is there any log/tool I could enable/configure/install for detailing the modem activity? If there's something I could do for for helping out, I will.

Not the same error but need to restart network for a good performance.

Have you tried calling in your phone while in that weird status where it thinks it is connected but is not? Mine doesn't ring. On the caller side I'm switched straight to the voicemail.
