I just got message from Czech FedEX that they are shipping a package for me. According to attached documents it's obvious that is my JollaC! That's good news. :-)

But they're also requested a lot of personal information to deputize me during custom clearance of the consignment. Seems that notwithstanding it's bought in EU, it's decisive it comes from Hong Kong. And also attached invoice from sender only contains device price but not already paid VAT, but hopefully invoice from Jolla shop which I attached to reply will be enough for customs to not ask for VAT again.

Edit 2016-07-15 11:17 CEST: Few minutes ago I also got "Jolla Shop: Shipping confirmation..." email.

Same here :-) I also attached the original invoice, so let's hope it will be fine. It can be already tracked on FedEx website.

All the Jolla C phones are now being shippedas James has stated today. Get the tracing code from shop.jolla.com or email notification.

Hm, although my order number is lower (#500013339 , Placed May 26, 2016 1:01:22 PM EEST, was even invited to the event but couldn't make it) no mail and also no tracking number in the shop for me :( seems like mine isn't shipped yet, no idea why.

I'm in Sweden, I only got the mail from Jolla with my tracking number, no e-mail from Fedex and when I search for my tracking number on their site it says it's invalid. I guess that's because it has not shipped yet? Was VAT included in the price or do we gave to pay VAT? I remember I had to pay a lot in VAT for my Jolla Tablet...

It doesnt mather if you bought an item from within EU if it is shipped from outside you still have to pay VAT (if it was nit included in the price, which I don't believe it was in this case?).

@ragzy Did you try your tracking number at TNT site?

My phone is on its way, and no words about extra VAT. On the other hand I already paid €34,07 VAT according to the Jolla invoice.

TNT worked, I've never heard of this company and I saw that they have merged with FedEx Sweden. It would be good if TNT's tracking numbers where traceable through FedEx in those Countries where they work together, but that's not Jollas fault. However, I think Jolla should send out an update with information on where to track if it is not working through the FedEx link provided in the Shipping Confirmation e-mail.

About the VAT, yes, my invoice says: Shipping 0€, Sweden (25%) 34.07€. Better print that invoice then.

Finnish TNT

They sent an SMS and asked me to contact them by phone in order to handle customs choreography. They needed my social security number, in order to proceed to make a customs bill to Jolla company. No receipts, documents etc. were needed unlike some others have experienced.

So I think, TNT already knew that I am not responsible for any extra charges (they said that these kind of packages has arrived for delivery a lot today! :). ~~Unfortunately, the last delivery van was said to leave at 11:30 am.~~

Keywords might be "delivery duty paid" eli "DDP", if your TNT is completely 'out in the open sea', i.e. uninformed.

Jep same thing with me, got the txt to contact them this morning and then they asked for the social number. Just got call from delivery truck and he told me that about one o'clock he should be here.JEEE

Yes! Mine's coming tonite! Cant wait! I was a bit worried, sms stated "custom clearing" or something like that, but after all, like you said, they just asked for my social security number.
