Is the Jolla C SD-card size REALLY limited to 32GB? (as the brochure says) I have 64GB on my old Jolla and would like to swap it over. Also - Will it be transferrable (plug & play) between old Jolla and Jolla C?
Followup - from what I've read EXT4 is doable - but will there be problems if I format a large SD card to EXT4 and manage to mount it to the default "mount"?

As always, MicroSD standards force ExFat licensing on you if you want to advertise >32GB. No ExFAT, no btrfs, no formatting on desktop - you need to format on the JollaC fwik! I have a SanDisk Extreme 64GB just working fine after formatting on device and iirc even 128gb work just fine too.
yes, the Jolla 1 has deivers for ext3/4. it also has drivers for btfrs if it is your fancy (a tiny bit nicer to flash media, but a little bit more complex to administer). plain old Fat32 is available too. it also supports swap, but last i checked the official automount scripts by jolla don't automount swap for obvious reasons (pro tip: use an "industrial" sd card, or at least one with ECC and static wear levelling)
3rd party drivers (powered by FUSE) available on openrepos include: - exFat (haven't tested it) - NTFS (i have teated it okay - i'm the one who built it)
note: i still haven't built UDF for jolla yet (nicer to flash media for the sane reason as Btrfs, but unlike that one, it's easy to cross operate with Windows and OS X)

Jolla doesn't support ExFat and can't claim to support larget than 32gb SD-cards (32gb and under use Fat32 afaik). You should be able to format the larger cards to some other filesystem (like ext3/ext4) and it should be able to mount just like on JollaPhone and JollaTablet.

The JollaC also does not recognize my 32GB SD Card, which i used previously within my Jolla 1 device!? Could this also be ExFat and Fat32. Dis Jolla 1 supported ExFat?
there is a FUSE (user-space) driver for exFat available from openrepos.net no need to recompile the whole kernel. i haven't heard if it works on Jolla C too, but it should.
on the other hand, btrfs support is in-kernel, so you'll need to recompile it if Jolla C doesn't have it already like the Jolla 1

I have a 64gb Sd card in my Jolla 1 formatted to btrfs, it is not recognised by Jolla C. Or would I be able to mount a btrfs formatted card on Jolla C? Is it just the formatting that will not fork on the device?
Should I reformat to ext4 if I want to be able to use it on both Jolla 1 and Jolla C? Will I have to mount it manually?

Just format it with ext4 and everything works fine.
