Alternatives for protective plastic on Jolla C

So, what's with the protective plastic on the screen which we're not supposed to remove? It's an enormous fingerprint magnet! Really very annyoning.
Anybody got any good alternatives? Or perhaps an anti fingerprint/smudge spray or treatment?
The worse problem is that these protective plastics on new phones don't necessarily stick very long. Years ago I always kept it on when a got a new phone, but it does not more than a couple of months. Unless this is something very specific dust will sooner or later accumulate under the edges end the protective film will get loose. So good hints are indeed welcome.
