I've got an original Jolla, which is doing ok. Noting the Aquafish is now available in Europe, and cheap, I'm considering getting one, but unsure of the real capacity and speed difference noting ram and professor differeneces. Does anyone have any first hand experiance from one to the other on load times of apps, etc?

There's no easy answer. It's certainly not the "Oh, suddenly everything is so fast!"-experience when you come from the original Jolla phone. Some things are better, though: I had situations on my original Jolla when video playback within Android apps slowed down to something like 2 frames per second when other applications were open. This is no longer the case with the Jolla C. I can now watch porn from tumblr while playing "Dancing Queen" by ABBA in the background and it's still a very smooth experience.

I've had the Jolla 1 for a short while before getting the Jolla C. In my opinion the Jolla C (or aqua fish) isn't really much of an upgrade. The graphical interface is less smooth on the C, in my opinion. I think this is because the C has an inferior GPU. I really think this is a bad thing..the Sailfish UI should give us a smooth experience, right? Well sometimes it just stutters very slighly, but noticable. Furthermore, the Camera seems a step down, and the same for notification light and no NFC.
But on the upside of things, I think the format is great, better than the 1, and you can't argue against the price of the device.
I can confirm hat, at least scrolling performance is better on the first Jolla. The GPU of Jolla C / Intex Aqua Fish is slightly weaker and the resolution is higher, so that was somehow expected. App start is about the same on both devices, but doubled RAM on Jolla C is noticeable if you are running many apps. I think the size of the first Jolla is much better, Jolla C is just too large.

My Jolla has become barely usable due to lack of RAM. Sometimes low memory killer kills the ONLY open app. Just for this reason, the Jolla C was long awaited. Moreover, the C is lighter and more comfortable to hold. The display is definitely better (easy win). If you fear it could be underpowered, know that Pokémon GO runs just fine on it. The only downside is the lack of a magnetometer. For anything else, it's a noticeable upgrade from the original Jolla.
Well, if you take the always-empty (dead) battery of Jolla 1 into account which you could as well leave at home because it is (as said above) always empty, the Jolla 1 is even more light-weight. So a plus for Jolla 1.
On the other hand, this makes AquaFish more useable than Jolla 1, which is, because of the missing battery, dead... (Note: this is just an assumption, as I don't own an AquaFish, but I tend to consider a working phone more usable than a phone which is dead because of a dead/left-at-home battery, even if the working phone was a bad phone). So a plus on this side for AquaFish.
This makes the comparison end in a tie :-)

I have the Jolla 1 as well as the Intex Aquafish which essentially has the same specs as the Jolla C. Coming to user experiences in both the devices I will say that the display is much better now. Further as the screen is larger it feels nice to use as everything is not cramped and you can use the portrait keyboard without pecking the wrong keys. The experience seems faster and is especially noticeable for android apps.
Keeping in view the price difference i.e the Jolla 1 cost me 225 euro (Sep'2014) and the intex aquafish cost me 70 euro (July 2016) and the user experience I had with the device you can say I for one am very happy with the Intex aquafish

Despite increased battery capacity, battery life on JollaC is noticeably less than on Jolla1, at average usage mainly as a phone.
