Hi All, I too ordered this mobile and waiting to explore. So can all android apps at least popular ones be installed ?

Do not expect Shareit!, Xender or similar wifi file transfer apps to work. Should look for other options like running a http server on phone.

how to transfer files and apps from other phones using shareit? anyone knows it please do comment. i can easily transfer from PC using shareit, i want it only for phone 2 phone transfer.

Yes, most android apps work perfectly on sailfish. I have the Aqua Fish and popular apps like Facebook, messenger, maps, whatsapp and even Pokemon Go work very well. Only high end games would not work well. That's not because of Sailfish but because the hardware of the phone is not good enough for those.

I'm not really sure about asphalt. It is a high end game and the hardware on Aqua Fish isn't good for games. Dr. Driving and subway surfer should work fine but I, personally, haven't actually tested any game other than Pokemon Go on it

I used to play asphalt nitro(not asphalt 8) and into the dead on my moto e 2014 which had snapdragon 210 and 1 GB ram,you are saying aqua fish instead of having snapdragon 212 and 2GB ram won't be able to run them?

No, I'm saying is that this phone might not be able to play them. I haven't tested any of those game so I can't say for sure. But if you were able to play asphalt nitro in snapdragon 210 with 1GB ram I'm pretty sure you'll be able to play it in Aqua Fish. The android support is pretty good and the only bottleneck, I think, is the hardware for this phone. So if the hardware can support running the game then it will run.

@shubh340 The android apps are running in alien dalvik layer.. I found slight stuttering while using google play store and few other apps. It might play asphalt but it will lag...

@utkarsh can you please check with AIDA64 if it is showing Snap 210?

Yes all the popular ones work and best you can install it directly from the Play Store

There is a notable exception - according to my experience you can not run applications that are related to some HW services. In particular bluetooth (LE) and NFC.

According to my experience most Android apps work on Sailfish. I have noticed that those that require google play services do not work (some require google play only optionally/partially and those normally work ok except for some features.. like e.g. weather and radar)
