Yep, harbour is the jolla store – respectively Jolla Harbour (sadly without web access at the moment).

File explorer should be like xplore in symbian with features likezip archiver, open with, view options, large or small icon etc. I have tried. light house. it's like ok ok. Option launch a process is missing. Can have short cut for apps. intuitive way to start the application. like from notification etc.

but thanks for the support. I like the application

  1. There is a native app called "Crest" in Jolla Harbour and OpenRepos and one called "Lighthouse" in Harbour and OpenRepos
  2. There are several file managers "File Browser" and "Cargo Dock" in Jolla Harbour and "FileCase" and "Filetug" at OpenRepos.

Do any of these file managers allow you to locate a file - including a hidden file - and open a plain text file for display (not truncated) and a pdf for display in e,g. Documents. File Browser cannot do those things AFAICS. Ideally I'd like an 'open in' facility.

Also a pdf viewer that can zoom in further - I can't read the London Railways map with Documents!

"File Browser" can search for files, including hidden ones and show the content of plain text files or open them. Some of the other can at least browse hidden files, but I do not use them that frequently. A PDF viewer is truly not within the scope of a file manager. "File Browser" shows PDFs as hex or can open them with Documents.

@inta Thx. I hadn't discovered that File Manager could open txt files and pdf files. (It even tries to open sh scripts!) Ability to specify TinyEdit would be better, but Notes is OK.

Any better pdf viewers, that zoom more? I resorted yesterday to cutting my pdf railway maps into quarters with gimp so I could read them.
