Sailfish OS 2.0.2 is named 'Aurajoki', the river going through Turku, a beautiful Finnish city. To gain some momentum, we have decided to switch our release codenames from lakes to rivers!

This release continues to improve the Sailfish OS 2.0 experience. Storage settings allow users to format, and safely eject memory cards. It also provides access to the files on the device and on memory cards. Cloud support continues to evolve with a support of VK and with backup support for OneDrive and DropBox. With release 2.0.2 Sailfish OS adds support for Intex Aqua Fish and Jolla C devices. New hardware features of the devices, like FM radio and Dual SIM are now supported.

This release brings a lot of improved features and fixes. Thank you for the feedback and making yet another big upgrade possible!

Upgrading your devices

This is the usual drill before attempting to upgrade your devices,

If you use Phonehook from OpenRepos, uninstall it before upgrading.
If you use Patchmanager, revert all applied patches before upgrading.
Take a backup of your data before attempting to upgrade your device. A successful backup operation is indicated by a green dot in the UI.
Do not reboot the device while the update is in progress.
The device screen may blank out during the update process, you may waken the display by a short press on the power key to monitor the progress.
Do keep the phone connected to a battery charger during the whole process.

If connected to the internet, and your account is subscribed for Early Access releases, your Jolla device should receive an OS update notification shortly.

Known issues

Very rarely Jolla tablet fails to boot homescreen after update. Workaround it is to reboot the device
Rarely pulley menu gets stuck on Jolla. Workaround is to swipe to enter home, and then go back to app and now the pulley menu should work again.
Currently the backup and restore operations are limited to the size of the /tmp partition, which is typically around 1GB when empty. If this condition is not met, the backup operation creates an erroneous backup, or the restore operation fails to restore the backup correctly. A fix is underway for this, but in the meantime, you can clear the contents of /tmp before doing a backup or restore to maximize the available space. If you have very large files that cannot be well compressed (e.g. videos) or a sizeable collection of large files (e.g. photos) that will cause the /tmp limit to be exceeded, move these to the memory card or some other off-device location before starting the backup/restore. Note that videos and images are not included in cloud-based backups so this is predominantly an issue for memory card backup/restore operations.

The Owncloud calendars (calDAV-account) has disappeared after the update. Recreating the account did not make any change. The calendars are still away.

Seems that a primary function of my Jolla-phone is out of order for me now - I'm very disapointed about that.

This Friday there will be Sailfish meeting on IRC. One of the topic is:

some details about the topic: There are a variety of bugs in the CalDAV sync adapter (https://git.merproject.org/mer-core/buteo-sync-plugin-caldav) which are difficult for me to test and fix for a variety of reasons (access to servers of correct versions, different language issues, internal company prioritisation, etc), which I would love to see some community contributions for. The bug numbers are: MER#1500, MER#1569, MER#1623, MER#1624, MER#1625 (see e.g. https://bugs.merproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1624). So, this topic is basically reaching out to the community to see if some person or persons would be willing to help investigate these issues and hopefully provide fixes. I can provide information on how to get started, how to get more debug output, and so on, to help reduce the learning curve as much as possible. Aside from fixing bugs directly, I'd really like to have unit tests added which can test the discovery and xml parsing codepaths - so a series of "expected response for given request" xml files would be extremely useful.

I'm using self-hosted baikal 0.2.7-flat with several calendars synced across desktops, android systems and my jolla phone. Before Aurajoki, everything worked fine with all calendars. After the update, one calendar disappeared. This was the calendar with...

the most traffic/variability
the only events with status "tentative" (don't know what device caused that...)

I tried deleting events and recreating the account in the jolla phone several times, every time the same story:

The available calendars are shown correctly after the account setup (in the accounts menu).
These calendars show up for like half a second or so in the calendar app's calendars view and disappear instantly

If I run the command to sync the calendar like /usr/lib/buteo-plugins-qt5//oopp/caldav-client caldav caldav-sync-36, there is just a warning that this device has no bluetooth (when I deactivate bluetooth) and this warning Unable to register dbus service "com.buteo.msyncd.plugin.caldav-sync-36" , terminating..

Update: The solution was to delete all events from the problematic calendar and then re-import them. I used copy/pasting with the Thunderbird extension Lightning (export/import failed for some reason). With Lightning, make sure to:

only click once (remove/paste)! It may take ages for a visible reaction to appear
be PATIENT! It may take ages to remove/copy events.
before pasting, select the date of the first pasted event in the calendar. From there the events will get filled in.

Sometimes deleting the calendar database on the Jolla (I forgot the folder ot is stored in) and starting the calendar app again after syncing solves CALdav provlems.

I have a little problem with the camera on Jolla 1. First it works like it should but after my phone has been on for a while the camera stops working. When I open the camera, the screen goes black and there is that focusing square. Then error message "Camera isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" (translated from Finish) appears. I've tried to install different SFOS camera app from the store but it does the same. Android camera apps are working though

Did you try to reinstall camera? Enable Develeoper mode and run from command line...

tzadata is updated in mer-core.

Sometimes gets stuck swipe from right/left to homescreen. Workaround is put device to sleep and then wake up the phone. I think it was on 2.0.1.x too.

after updating to 2.0.2.51, 4G works perfectly but I can't receive or pass phone call enymore.

when I am in 4G network mode, I can't pass a phone call but in another network mode I can

I install the patch «more network modes» by coderus_ofono and that fixed my issue in "Any" mode or in "4G+3G" mode but not in "4G only" mode.

I haven't got access to Configuration > System > Sailfish OS update(it doesn't appear on the Configuration list) so I can't update the system.

If I tap on the update notification it tries to load de configuration window but it ends up in nothing.

Any clue?

EDIT: I'm using 2.0.1.11 and the terminal way of updating doesn't work either.

@palikao See above for how to enable it. To use it, just long press powerkey, and after menu opens reboot is the button on top right.
