Caldav calendar duplicates on sync
This bug seems to be back: https://together.jolla.com/question/90275/bug-calendar-duplicates-on-every-sync/ On my phone right now I have 4 the same calendars after I added 3 new appointments during the day. Each sync, when there is something new, creates a new calendar. I sync with owncloud version 8.2.7
I had the same problem on my jolla 1, but the duplicates disappeared after a reboot.
sigma_ ( 2016-08-02 09:48:45 +0300 )editSame problem here, but the duplicates don't disappear on reboot! I'm using ownCloud 9.1.0
Feathers_McGraw ( 2016-08-17 15:45:13 +0300 )editThe duplicates reappeared on my device, after they were gone after a reboot. I'm using the caldav server from mailbox.org, which is using Open-Xchange.
sigma_ ( 2016-08-18 11:56:19 +0300 )editThe only thing that works for me is to delete the caldav/carddav account and recreate it. I now do this around once a week, depending on how annoying it gets to disable the double calendars. But it would better if Jolla would look into this and fix it.
Hawkboy ( 2016-08-23 09:29:50 +0300 )editI have this problem on my Jolla 1, running 2.0.2.51 Aurajoki, syncing with fruux. At least I know now what the trigger may be: a new event, made on the phone. A reboot does not help. Jolla should fix this indeed.
rob_kouw ( 2016-10-03 09:20:38 +0300 )editAt least the trigger is NOT a new event, made on the phone. Although I was tempted now and then to add a new event, I didn't. But suddenly the fruux calendars had tripled. I had to delete my fruux account again and reinstall it.
rob_kouw ( 2016-10-08 09:20:43 +0300 )editI still have it sometimes. I can't see a pattern in what is happening. I have made new entries on the phone, in owncloud and on my desktop, but I have not had a duplication for a while. Still no clue on what triggers it...
Hawkboy ( 2016-10-11 16:56:52 +0300 )editI have this on my Intex Aqua Fish with Sailfish 2.0.2.51. Currently I have 3 instances of the same calendar. To prevent from triple notifications I have disabled 2 instances. To do so, start calendar, swipe down to open de pulley menu and select manage calendars. There you can disable all but one instance. This is a workaround but of course the cause of this issue should be fixed asap.
Bart S ( 2016-10-16 13:08:08 +0300 )editI use the following post to resolve my problem: https://together.jolla.com/question/59173/delete-all-entries-from-a-calendar/ In combination of Notepad++ column edit mode and search&replace it is quiet eays to delete the entries and the calendars in two steps (3 calendars, each 63 times).
hullabaluh ( 2016-11-07 13:17:32 +0300 )editI do remove the whole calendar db from time to time when it is out of hand. But the main issue still is: why do the calendars duplicate from time to time? There is no real pattern to as far as I can see. It is annoying.
Hawkboy ( 2016-11-07 13:56:23 +0300 )editI already posted this in another thread here on the same topic, after more than six months without any sign of jolla to fix this really annoying bug, I am soon ready to leave for lineage on a xiaomi. It's really sad about all the good work done so far. But it seems, jolla won't become what it was looking it will be.
