Jolla Mail - add T-online account or other provider failed [answered]

Hello, Using: Sailfish OS 2.0.2.43 try to add Mail Account from t-online.

https://kommunikationsdienste.t-online.de/email/verschluesselung/anleitungen/andere.html

incoming mail:

server type: POP3
Username:  name@t-online.de
Serveradress: securepop.t-online.de
secure connection: SSL
Port: 995

outgoing mail:

server type: STMP
Username:  name@t-online.de
Serveradress: securesmtp.t-online.de
secure connection: SSL
Port: 465

How to fix this ?

Tryed with other providers too, but the same problem. A error occurred

Account could not be created

Did you try the user name without "@t-online.de" ? Did you try IMAP instead of POP3?

non did did not without: t-online.de

I'm using T-Online with IMAP without any problems: incoming mail: server type: IMAP Username: yourname@t-online.de Serveradress: secureimap@t-online.de4secure connection: SSL Port 993

sending mails: Serveraddress: securesmtp.t-online.de secure-connection: SSL Port: 465

Authentification needed Username: yourname@t-online.de

And for the Password: Try your T-Online-Account-Passwort or your E-Mail-Password One of them should work.

Wichtig: Das E-Mail-Passwort ist nicht identisch mit dem Passwort, das Sie für den Zugriff auf das E-Mail Center, Mediencenter, Kundencenter und andere Web-Dienste verwenden. Falls Sie das E-Mail-Passwort noch nicht eingerichtet haben, tun Sie dies bitte im Kundencenter.

i did not found: telnet or wget in the phone to check if the connection is possible to: secureimap.t-online.de and securesmtp.t-online.de

secureimap.t-online.de with SSL or StartTLS

Did you try both passwords? The normal T-Online password and the "internet-password" ?

i have only one password, did create a free t-online address and not a customer of t-online/telekom
