I have seen people saying pokemon go works without problem with Jolla c, but still mine can't find signal. I have tried updating google service to latest. Google maps works well. I've tried gps info app, no problem. I've reset to factory settings. I've never been able to open my google settings app with my jolla 1 and same problem continues with jolla c (with the aptoide version). "Play Services Info" Shows nothing is installed. What am I missing?

Have you enabled the more accurate positioning from settings?

Maybe your mobile never achieved first fix. When you turn on a GPS receiver for the first time in a new location, it needs some minutes to rebuild satellite position information. Have you checked if a maps application shows your correct position? If it does not, leave the phone with the application open in an open place (no roofs, allow the phone to see GPS satellites) and wait about 10 minutes until the position shows. This is normal GPS behaviour. If the map application finds your position and Pokémon GO does not, it's strange -- it has worked for me out of the box.

i found GPS performance absolutely abysmal until I installed sailfish-maps, which I think has since been removed from the repository

I bet if I could go to "Location" in google settings I could make it work. After factory reset I could open my google settings (not from aptoide), but it says "unsupported action" when trying to go locations.

Got it working by installing latest google services, then play store and then pokemon go. No google maps. This was a weird one.

I have the same problem with my jolla c. Can't use maps or any other application that requires gps signal (except for HERE, installed by the jolla store). I have latest google services, but still can't go into "Location" from there. How did you do?
