Hello,

The Sailfish OS SDK update 1608 has been released. This update has the latest 2.0.2.48 build environment, which matches the Jolla Release 2.0.2 (Aurajoki). It also contains updated Sailfish OS graphical elements and an official support for Jolla C and Intex Aqua Fish devices.

If you have an older release of the SDK already installed, you should see an update notification in the SailfishOS IDE. View more information in the SDK wiki page and also check out the known issues page.

Happy hacking!

I wish Jolla would release a live CD version of it. There was some dicussion of this in the past but nothing happened in the end.

Can somebody give some more explanation about this:

  • Official Jolla C and Intex Aqua Fish support
  • Updated graphical elements

@blabber: A live CD version is a good idea and it's still in the roadmap, but there's no concrete timeline on releasing it yet. There are going to be some bigger SDK related updates in the upcoming months after which the live CD version will be one of the things to work on.

@Dylan Van Assche: "Official Jolla C and Intex Aqua Fish support" = These devices have worked already with the previous SDK release, but now they've been thoroughly tested in-house and the build environment is in sync with the factory release (2.0.2) of these devices. Also an emulator screen mode has been added for these devices.

"Updated graphical elements" = The Sailfish OS logos and other graphics used in the SDK have been updated according to the current Sailfish OS design guidelines.
