long shot - Sailfish on 3rd party tablet?
I know this is unlikely, but no harm asking. Is it possible to run Sailfish on any available 3rd party tablet? I looked at the available devices wiki entry and there's nothing listed there. However, it seems focused on devices that ship with Sailfish natively.
I realise tablets in general are much more locked down than PCs/laptops. However it is possible; I have Ubuntu running on a linx 1010B for example. Though functional, it's very obvious that Ubuntu is a desktop environment that's being adapted to mobile. Whereas Sailfish is mobile first. They both use linux under the covers so - at least in theory - there's some hope for hardware support, etc (albeit different processor architectures).
Thanks.
(I can't bring myself to use an iOS/Android/Win device given the inexorable intrusion into privacy. It's just over a year since I was waiting excitedly for my Jolla Tablet to be delivered. Sadly it never did :(.)
Here is a list of devices with Sailfish OS adaptations: https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris Scroll down for a (short) list of tablets.
