On the dual-SIM Jolla C / Intex Aqua Fish, there is an option in Settings->SIM cards->Call and messages to select which SIM card to use to make calls. Is there the possibility to override this setting for a specific contact, or for a single call? For instance, to call a service number to check the residual credit on the second SIM.

Something like [Feature-request] select SIM in contact field?

Seems like this would also be very useful for international calls, so you don't accidentally end up with a bill of hundreds of euros.

@cy8aer Yes, or also something like "use the code ##2##123456 to call 123456 with the second SIM". Android has a few of those codes.

+1 Instead of just a single 'call' button: multiple ones, for each sim. Like the separate buttons back in good'ol n900/n9-days for sim/skype/SIP. That would bring the option to integrate other voice services in the future more easily.

I simply change the default SIM before calling in the events view (see top of pull-down). That is quite quick.
