Probably the normal things;

use dimmest display setting
avoid using social media applications that require constant network presence
turn off bluetooth if you don't need it
turn off positioning if you do not need it
turn off wlan if you do not need it
uninstall alien dalvik

And the most extreme; if you really want to conserve your battery, put phone in airplane mode :)

It might sound crazy, but you could also just turn off your phone at night. It's not healthy to sleep next to a phone for a number of reasons. Call me old fashioned..I use a seperate alarmclock if I need one.

@Andrik Personally I keep my phone in another room and in airplane mode. Shutting down the phone every day isn't healthy for the battery.
