There must be coordination between sailfish native apps. When a particular file is opened in the file manager then it should start or ask to start the corresponding app that's able to open such type of file. Like if there is a ebook reader installed ( fb reader) and through file manager one tries to open a ebook then it should automatically start fbreader. But currently it's not happening. But for Android apps in alien dalvik layer it works fine. Please include the above mentioned feature.

This is not enough tight for me. i'd like to be able to register a cloud account and then to be able to get a back up of evry thing in this account. Another type of deep integration is to be able to see call history in the calendar or to get in contacts an history of calls, sms, appointments set with the current contact or to open the map application and to view all your contacts on a map.

We have this but it relies upon app developers setting the proper mime types that their app can handle, as well as handling command line parameters to open things from a file browser. Unfortunately it isnt like android and doesnt pop up a menu asking which app, so you can only have one app associated with each mime type but its better than nothing.

I handled this in my music player app just fine for instance.

what's the limitation for not having the popup menu with multiple choices (if there is one)?

I don't think there is one, just that nothing handles it in that way currently. The functionality is inherited from the freedesktop stuff found on a lot of linux distros these days https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Default_applications

I guess the problem stems from the fact that libcontentaction is meant to be a replacement of xdg-tools, somehow, yet does not succeed in that fully.
