Hello

could someone bring some alternative to import and export contacts with the device?

I've already found this for export:

I found until now nothing for the import which could be for me relevant.

Ideally would be to have a function in the OS, or an app for this.
But i've nothing against cli command, as long as it is clear.
I'm not interested on synchronizing tools, because i want to test some of them.

i just want to export in file and have the possibility to reimport it, in specific moments...

Thank you. didn't saw it... Right... but why it is just for import. that's quite funny that there is no export possible with this tool.

i had contacts from google account and when i backed up contacts all.vcf was empty. It did not export google contacts. I had to export from contacts.google.com and then import like i said above. So backup solution does not work 100%

ATM (v2.0.1.11) that solution works 100%, Google Sync doesn't. I'd like to have a smarter way to export contacts from UI

For the export of the whole contacts. Not just those build with the phone.
The best workaround that i found here on TJC was told from @Zagothal in this thread.
That is the share function in contact app through bluetooth, mail or mms.

Just go in contact app.
Pull down menu select more than one contact.
Select all the contacts you want.
Then select the share symbol on the bottom right corner of the display.
Select the type of interface: bluetooth, email, mms (i made it with email).
Finish the process (in my case with mail type the right email target, don't know for bluetooth and mms, but should be quite obvious).
Then send it.

That's it.

oh yes many,many. many are the same, and many are different. but none comes officially from jolla.
Sadly, the os has none which make it on the go in few gestures, and really reliable...
