I have a few apps (mainly KakaoTalk) that keeps on asking me to re-verify my phone number after rebooting or even after restarting the homescreen. This problem does not exist on Jolla 1.

(The exact message that I get is: "Re-verification is required as your device information has changed.")

I hope this bug will be fixed, because is't starting to be really annoying... :(

Changed the headline for clarity and retagged. Hopefully that's OK.

I use KakaoTalk too and I had to re-verify once or twice when I installed it on my Jolla C. After that it hasn't asked for re-verification. I thought it had something to do with Googe Play Store (which I have installed), but I'm not really sure. Anyway I haven't encountered this problem for a few weeks now, even with reboots, so I'm hoping it just got fixed somehow.

@synthent I have Play Store as well, can you share what you might have done? Who knows it could solve my problem as well.

I checked my SMS's and so far I've recieved four verification codes. The last two codes were sent after I had already installed the Play Store, so the re-verification issue was still happening then. The only thing I can think of that I did back then was a re-install from the Play store, as I had installed Kakao from Aptoide when I first got the device. I remember having some problems with the Play Store recognizing apps that were installed before the store itself and therefore they couldn't be updated, but I'm not 100% sure if Kakao was one of those apps.

The only tip I can give is to re-install the app from the Play Store. Note that I'm not sure if the problem has solved itself or if I just haven't encountered it for 2-3 weeks.

edit. I just had to re-verify KakaoTalk again. No idea what triggers it as it seems to happen at random.

I had a similar problem. I solved it by pressing the android back button before closing the application, then i press yes exit (in some applications you dont need to confirm the exit) then you can close it completly by holding the finger on that application on home screen and then press X below the application. Hopefully this will work! :-)
