No sound in komoot

I'm using the Android App komoot on Jolla C for hiking and biking navigation. It's working as expected, except the spoken turn-by-turn navigation. It seems that it's missing a text to speech engine. Did someone else successfully fix this issue?

I tried to install eSpeak TTS as mentioned in this article, but it crashes after installation. I also tried several other TTS engines but with the same result. What kind of TTS do other use on Aurajoki and Joll C?
